Adzi for Slack
Each client’s alerts and reports, in its own Slack channel.
Adzi watches each client’s Meta ad account, and its Shopify store if it has one. Connect Slack once, choose a channel for each client, and Adzi posts its alerts and reports there for your team.

What Adzi is
Adzi is a web app for ecommerce media buyers and the agencies they work in. A workspace connects each client’s Meta ad account and, if it has one, its Shopify store. Adzi reads their data in the background and shows each client’s spend, ROAS, purchases and sales in one place, with the campaigns behind them, the alerts the team turns on and the reports Adzi builds.
Meta is where a client’s ads run, and Shopify is its online store. Nothing in Slack changes a client’s campaigns or its store.
What Adzi does in Slack
Once Slack is connected, each client’s channel gets:
- Alerts: low funds, CPP over the max, low stock and every other alert the team turned on for the client, posted when Adzi finds them.
- Reports: a client report sent now, on a schedule or every morning, posted with a link to it and its PDF in the thread.
- Mentions: each alert can mention a person, a user group or @here when it posts, so the right person sees it.
Adzi posts only to channels inside your own Slack workspace, never to a channel shared with another company. It reads only the messages that mention @Adzi, and no other message.
How to add Adzi to Slack
Adzi is added to Slack from inside Adzi, so its Connect Slack button is behind sign-in. An owner or an admin of an Adzi workspace connects it once, for the whole team:
- 1.Sign in to Adzi, or create a workspace. Signing in takes a 6-digit code sent to your email, or your Google account.
- 2.Open Settings → Apps and find Slack, under Messages.
- 3.Press Connect Slack. Slack opens in a window, or in the same tab if your browser blocks pop-ups, and asks you to allow Adzi’s permissions. Choose your Slack workspace and allow them.
- 4.Back in Adzi, the page says “Slack workspace connected.” and Slack’s row says Connected.
A member who is not an owner or an admin sees “Ask an owner or an admin to connect Slack.” The same Connect Slack button is also in each client’s settings and in Add client.
Choose where each client’s posts go
- For one client: in Settings → Clients, open the client. Under Messages, Sends to chooses its Slack channel and who Adzi tags.
- Adzi joins a public channel you choose. For a private channel, type /invite @Adzi in it first, then choose it.
- A channel shared with another company can’t be chosen: alerts and reports stay inside your team.
- Send a test message checks that a channel works.
- The first time a channel is chosen for a client, Adzi posts there who chose it and which of the client’s posts will arrive.
- Mention in Slack, in each alert’s settings in Alerts → Manage alerts, chooses who that alert mentions for the client: Nobody, @here, or a person or a user group from your Slack workspace. Every new post of the alert mentions them, and its replies do not.
- Which alerts a client gets, and where each one goes, are set in Alerts → Manage alerts.
Using Adzi in Slack
- Alerts post themselves: when an alert that is on finds something, Adzi posts it to the client’s Slack channel.
- To send a report: open it in Reports, press Send, then Send now…: it posts to the client’s Slack channel.
- A report on a schedule, the morning report included, posts to each of its clients’ Slack channels.
Asking Adzi in Slack
Any member who sees a client can choose its Slack channel, under Messages in the client’s settings. Then anyone in that channel can mention @Adzi with a question about the client, such as “@Adzi how much did we spend yesterday?”
- Adzi answers in the thread, about that client alone, and changes nothing.
- For a follow-up, mention @Adzi again in the same thread, and Adzi carries on from its last answer.
Each channel can ask up to 10 questions in 10 minutes, and all your clients’ channels together up to 120 an hour. Past either, Adzi says so once, and answers again when the time is up.
About AI in Adzi
Adzi builds reports, and answers questions in Slack, with an AI model from OpenAI. The figures in a report or an answer come from the client’s own Meta and Shopify data, but the sentences around them are written by the model, and they can be wrong or incomplete. Check the numbers that matter in Adzi before you act on them.
Nothing your team writes in Slack is used to train a model.
What Adzi asks Slack for
When an owner or an admin connects Slack, Adzi asks for these permissions and no others:
- chat:writePost messages: each client’s alerts and reports, in the channels you chose.
- channels:readSee public channels: to list them for you to choose from, and to refuse one shared with another company.
- groups:readSee private channels Adzi is in: the same, for private channels you invited Adzi to.
- channels:joinJoin public channels: to join the public channel you chose, so it can post there without an invite.
- files:writeUpload files: to attach a report’s PDF in the thread of its post.
- users:readSee people: so that you can choose who an alert mentions.
- usergroups:readSee user groups: so that an alert can mention a group.
- app_mentions:readSee messages that mention @Adzi: Adzi reads only these, and no other message.
Disconnecting Slack
An owner or an admin can disconnect at any time: in Settings → Apps, open Slack’s ⋯ menu, press Disconnect, then Disconnect Slack. Every channel chosen for a client is unlinked, nothing is posted to Slack until it is connected again, and Adzi deletes its Slack access and asks Slack to end it.
Removing Adzi from your Slack workspace also stops every post. Press Reconnect in Slack’s ⋯ menu in Settings → Apps to post again.
Privacy and support
The Privacy policy says what Adzi keeps from Slack and for how long, and how to ask for your data to be deleted. The Terms of service cover the rest.
